Nice place for tiramisu

If you called me a hater, I would be the first one to admit it. I grew up in Jersey and have become accustomed to the delights of Sunday gravy from my friend's nonnas and aunties. Thus, I reaaaaallyy struggle paying a premium price for Italian food. The one exception where I will gladly throw down my hard earned money is Tonino. How good could bread sticks and dip be? Apparently really fantastic at Tonino! I could make a meal out of the pizza bianca and all the dips but then I would miss out on the fantastic pasta. The bucatini breathed life into me. I also highly recommend the House Spritz. It taste like summer in Italy in a glass which is desperately needed in the depths of a Boston Winter.

Being from Italy its always hard for me to find good Italian restaurants abroad. Tonino is simply an authentic Italian restaurant. Pasta is delicious, served al dente with sauces that are delicate and not overpowering. The Pizza is light, easy to digest with authentic flavors and toppings. The tiramisu’ is like the traditional one you find in a local trattoria in Italy. The location is very cozy. The staff is so kind and welcoming that really made us feel at ease, especially with a two year old dining with us. Kid-friendliness: High top chairs and staff very nice to children

This was an amazing experience with all of the warm cozy vibes! Service was friendly and attentive without being over the top. The drink menu was to die for (the house and bergamot blush spritz drinks are what dreams are made of), and the food, the FOOD was fantastic. I’ve seen reviews saying that portions are small but frankly I thought they were perfect. We ordered a special that night - meatballs, which came with three generously sized meatballs in sauce with bread on the side, a plate of mortadella and two pasta dishes. The pasta dishes may be considered small but they are rich! We needed to take some of it home with us. 10/10 recommend!

Pizza was delicious. Did take out and came away really impressed by how light the dough was and the flavors of the pizza. Definitely not the type of pizza I’d always get but a very solid option to have in the area.

Tonino deserves every 5 star review it has earned. Claire and Luke (the owners) have captured magic in a bottle and lovingly serve it each night they are open. The food is incredible and the atmosphere is so inviting. You can pop in for a quick entree and a shared appetizer or have one of the most ridiculous culinary journeys of your life, which I love about this place. I'll share a quick note about the service that I'll never forget. I came in with my partner and when the server delivered something to our table early in the meal the table wobbled slightly. We hadn't noticed it and it didn't particularly bother us (the tables are heavy marble that don't move much anyway), but the server apologized profusely and immediately fixed it by adding a balance under the table. Little touches like this take Tonino from a great restaurant to a truly exceptional one. I will be frequenting Tonino for the rest of my life if given the chance. Word of advice – don't skip dessert!!
