Went there for the picture, stayed for the delicious meals. We had a Reuben comprised of a pastrami and cheese on rye bread sandwich, split pea soup and fries, my friend had a patty melt and everything was just superb. We even took a doggy bag home, so we had lunch and dinner for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend!
Lovely place highly recommend even if you’re not a Seinfeld fan.
I hate writing this but is seems like my only resource. I am disabled with eight weeks of chemotherapy and radiation therapy ending last Wed. Have not eaten much and have lost thirty pounds. I was sharing with my friend who came in from Long Island everyday to take me to treatment I wanted eggs with mashed potatoes. We were both quite happy I had an appetite. At 9:30 pm took my service dog to go get my meal to bring home. As soon as I walked in the gentleman in the photo snapped at me asking, "service animal?" Finding is hard to talk due to the radiation replied "yes." He snapped again asking me for id. People with service animals don't need id. I replied with "I don't need id." He the asked me if it was to go which I told him yes. I ordered my eggs and mashed and he rudely told me to "wait outside." In a bit of shock in how he thinks it ok to treat the disabled I cancelled my order. I went home and drank two Ensure nutritional drink. My stomach got upset and I lost my appetite. This was horribly cruel.
The real dinner experience!
Went on a date evening of 4/3 @ 9pm. The restaurant was fairly empty as it was a week night and had been raining all day. When we tried to order just a drink each the waiter/owner(?) informed us that there was a $10 per person minimum to sit at the table and that if we were to purchase below the minimum we would need to sit at the bar. We ended up ordering mozarella sticks.
Ordered a pastrami omelet and could not have been more disappointed. It arrived lukewarm, it was rubbery and bland tasting. The home fries were cold and unappetizing.
For us diehard Seinfeld fans ..travelling from India and eating here was as close as it gets to being part of Seinfeld …
Love a great dinner. And this is one of them. Exactly what I expected for a greasy spoon breakfast.
Nice little diner, perfect for Seinfeld’s fans, the food is not expensive and very good
