We made a late lunch reservation for a party of ten (online - huge bonus). We had the lunch menu as well as the restaurant week menu, so options seemed endless! We all enjoyed our food, our server was great, and we even got a photo in front of the fireplace. It was an amazing experience, and we’ll be sure to come back!

Waitress wasn't trained at all and service was horrible. Food was mediocre at best. They really try and scate by with their building being old and historical but don't bother where it counts service/hospitality and great food

Easy to find if you know what it looks like first. Parking was easy. Appreciated the canopied drive at entrance. Host offered to take my coat. It's very long so appreciated that. Food was mediocre to good. Potatoes overcooked, green beans undercooked. Chicken Marsala was pretty good. Squash was enjoyable. Brownie & Ice cream was yummy and we ended up sharing. This area definitely is lackluster for what I expected to be the highest quality. Waiter - missed his name, sorry! -was very helpful without standing there making you feel rushed. He came back quickly enough also. Good at timing! Helpful. Just the right amount of presence. Refilled my pop and I didn't even realize it. Only suggestion is we still prefer the "old-fashioned" manners of women being served first. But truly good service. Atmosphere was pleasant ambiance. Entrance/lobby needs re-arranged a little. Could be bit warmer. Architectural details were a frequent topic of discussion. Comfortable seating. Going to the restroom & speakeasy-esque bar downstairs could be a challenge if you have trouble walking like myself. Restroom was pretty nice. I'd only recommend removing mineral deposits on the faucet. Instant warm water will hopefully be in the future. I refuse to be chilly and then have to go out with damp cold hands on top of it, so I wait there until the water is warm with it running - not cost efficient. We also ventured upstairs for the escape room. That was a blast. Rob was awesome, personable and entertaining. He was quick to pause the timer when we requested a hint and didn't try to give us hints we didn't want. The room was great. We made two simple mistakes that cost us hints we shouldn't have needed. Did get outp but just barely. Rob took our picture downstairs with various signs and the Chalice. Only recommendation was the restroom upstairs needs improved a lot. Freezing temperature, again water also freezing, I hate restroom doors being propped open. Not appropriate, but I suspect something to do with the lack of heat (?). Also the electronic paper towels were malfunctioning and not coming out. You had to kind of encourage it. Pricing was reasonable for a locally upscale restaurant. I'd expect the higher tab.. However, attention to all these details could be improved to actually complete the experience as commensurate to the bill and status. I'd certainly recommend but will be excited to see the anticipated improvements as well. Parking: Parking is fine. I didn't actually see a sign stating the name of the place. Maybe we missed it or it was covered in snow. Possibly a couple of easy to see yet elegant signs would help with the entrances. Again maybe I just happened to glance the wrong way both times. Please make them fit the style however.

❤️ Our team got the chance to photograph a beautiful wedding at Tippecanoe and we were so happy to have been there. It's not only a beautiful location, but there are endless spots for photo opportunities for the couple as well as family portraits. You're going to LOVE having your wedding here. The food and staff here at the location are always amazing and helpful and it's the perfect spot for any intimate style wedding, but can also hold a large amount if needed.

Food was awful. Ambiance kind of makes up for it, but overall food was terrible and needs better cooks. So unprofessional.

We were told over the phone when making reservations that it was a prime rib Christmas Eve buffet. It was not. Also they charged for coffee. On a buffet!! Not the place we remembered 15 years ago.

The food was very mediocre. Three of our party were served the wrong dish, and the steak and veggies I received were very dry. We were seated in a cold, back room that felt very isolated from the rest of the building. I would’ve expected better service and food from a historical dining landmark in South Bend. Disappointed..

Waitress was extremely uninterested in us and unfriendly. Luke warm subpar food. The crab cake Benedict was so disappointing as was the omelet and shrimp and grits. We sat for a long time after brunch before she brought us the check. Sad experience for our NYE brunch with family.
