Not authentic Mexican. The guac was oddly sour, and not too much lime juice sour, like avocado sitting on your counter sliced open for a week sour. I wanted to like it but it hasn’t been as good after new owners. Also, the chicken was very chewy.
went here on valentine’s day and the decor was so so so cute!!!! the food was delicious, and service was so kind and friendly. i think i found my new favorite diner in columbus :)
Just like another reviewer stated, mexican food and breakfast food all day, both are amazing.
Tio's Diner is a gem in South Columbus. Having been a fan of Dan's (see original review below), we were disappointed to see it change hands. But then we went to Tio's and we couldn't be happier. The Mexican breakfast we had (chilaquilas, breakfast burrito with chorizo) was wonderful, the portions were huge, and the service was exceptional. We will be back often. Original Dan's Diner review: Classic, unpretentious diner with excellent service and large menu of food you would expect. We ordered chicken & waffles and a skillet hash of some sort. The hash was quite good, while the chicken & waffles was a bit under-seasoned. I would pass on the coffee if you can. It tasted like rubber. Service was very friendly and attentive. I will be going back next time I need my diner fix.
