Stopped by here to eat the lunch special. Haven't eaten here since the beginning of the pandemic. Just don't get around to this part of Hayward anymore. It's still a little hole in the wall (maybe 10-tables?). I had the garlic prawns with fried rice and an egg roll. You also get a cup (filled, for a change) of hot/sour soup. The soup was excellent and the garlic prawns were delicious. The fried rice was very good. The plate was full with food. If you're hungry, come here. I normally finish most/all lunch specials plates. I just barely finished it. While I have had better chinese food (for lunches), I have never had more food for lunch. The portions are very generous. Service was good too (I ate in). This place is also extremely reasonably priced too. Most luncheon specials are $9.28 each dish (fish/seafood is $9.98). The whole menu is very inexpensive. I can see taking a family here and not spending more than $30 for lots of food (most dishes are less than $12). I really gave 5-stars because the food was good and the pricing excellent. Most chinese restaurants have raised prices exponentially. These folks, not so much. I am very impressed they have held the line on prices and the food is still good. You just cannot beat the value proposition here. I'll be back. This will be perpetually on my to do list for chinese food. Edit: ate here again (luncheon special)/12/11/22. Had same dish as previous. While food was OK, portions have gotten smaller. I finished my plate quickly. Hot/sour soup was warm/temp. not hot. It also tasted watered down. Fried rice tasted "old". I got 6/six prawns this time (got 9 previously). I suspect this place is now trying to maximize profits, so they are making portions smaller. Which is fine and it justifies the pricing. They have another waitress (I wasn't sure she understood english?). She's borderline for service but I'll bet she is new. I'll still return but I adjusted to 4-stars (from 5) because this is a step-back from my previous visit. Maybe they had a bad day/Sunday? EDIT - showed up on NYE-day at 3pm, with the doors open and the illuminated 'open' sign on; sat down and then was promptly greeted and told 'they were closed' [with no further explanation or apologies]. So, I stood up, said OK and walked out. Probably, never to return..........

On our way home from SFO, had a craving for Chinese food. Ordered Yo-Fu Wonton soup, Combination Moo Shu and House Chow Mein. Every dish is delicious!! Fresh, great flavor!! Check them out. Only downside, no RR, kinda small, and parking lot is sketchy.

This is now my go-to place for basic, good honest Chinese food. The soup was salty enough that it should probably be served with blood pressure meds, but their Crispy Szecuhan Prawns [as spelled in their online menu] are quite impressive! If interested in their lunch menu, you should be sure to arrive in time (online says 2:30, in-person said 3.) I have seen service declined shortly after 3, and they do encourage you to head out if you finish your lunch after their 3pm break.

Reasonable price & good portion. BBQ pork & fried rice is pretty good imo, other dishes are okay-ish.
