Tides Oyster Bar

Absolutely love this place. You have to drive a ways away from the strip but it beats waiting 4 hours in line for the Oyster bar in Palace Station. The Pan Roast is delicious! I'm sure the rest of the food is good too but I love their Pan Roast so much that I always end up ordering that. The service was fantastic! My wife even was even given a key lime pie for her birthday - also was great! Can't wait to come here again.

My wife and I had the unique pleasure of returning to Tides Oyster Bar this past Valentines' Day for dinner and had a wonderful time. Made the evening really special. We started with a bottle of Rose, which is all we needed, and a couple Caesar Salads that were very tasty. Next we shared a special appetizer they offered, a fresh King Crab cake, and that might have been the tastiest dish of the night, and possibly the year. The rest was fantastic as well, but take a look at the Crab cake photo and tell me it doesn't look like a must have everytime you come here. For the main course, my wife had a Pan Roast which she enjoyed very much, and I had the 1 lb. King Crab legs with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans, which I think also was a Valentines' Day special. I can say first hand that this was incredible. I was on the King Crab trip since my first bite of the crab cake, and this was no sleeper either. Cooked perfectly, and cut to dig in. The potatoes were whipped and the beans excellent as well. After being cajoled into dessert, we finally relented (twist our arm huh) and had the Creme brulee. Again, take a look at the posted photo(s) and you can see that it looked and tasted Awesome. Lastly, I want to thank the ownership and staff for making last night so special. From the hostess and server, to enjoying a conversation with Chef Hunter, who came out several times to see if we were taken care of, we truly felt like our patronage was appreciated, and Tides Oyster Bar had truly earned a spot in our minds to continue making this one of our favorite dining experiences here in Henderson. If you didn't read this whole review, the main point is Highly Recommended.

Bouillabaisse is pretty good, lots of ingredients, but a bit salty. Oyster tasted like being frozen for a long time..

Food was done well, and the service was prompt without being bothered.

Their twist on Cajun cuisine is amazing! Creamy bowls of seafood with just the right spices. Manhattan style clam chowder is my favorite, but difficult to find.

I have been going to Tides for 16 years. I have always liked this place, but this new Chef Grant (who has been here for about 2 years) has ELEVATED this place 2 more Levels!

Some dishes are hits and some are misses. I liked the jumbo.

This place is just terrible for those who enjoy oysters. Very limited selection for having Oyster in your name (3 choices). Took forever to get our drinks. Oysters were dry and just marginal. Also got the kumamoto of which the server informed us they were from Japan....sorry but maybe originally...they are northwest not flown in from japan. Anyways some of the worst oysters and felt like I was in a cafeteria. Terrible atmosphere.
