This Is It! Southern Kitchen & Bar-B-Q

A first timer since recent move to GA. This restaurant was highly recommended for soul food. I tried two different meals and while the food was to my liking the drive-thru conversation between the coworkers were awful. I am certain they did not know their microphone was hot so next time situational awareness. While I with my child was waiting in line the employees were heard talking about various vermin, their relationships, and using profanity. The way the drive thru is set up I could not just drive away because it’s closed in as you wait in lone with poles. I am could only imagine how the atmosphere is inside the establishment. As it took around 10 minutes just to order once I did the communication to me by the employee was not very welcoming when so was trying to understand the menu. Overall I pushed past my annoyance and tried the food. The ribs, the sweet potatoes soufflés, the bang salmon and a few other side items were pleasing.

The quality of food has gone down significantly over the past few years, which is disappointing. They are constantly running out of food (how are you out of greens at 4pm on a Saturday!) and what's left isn't as delicious as it should be.

I rushed to This Is It Restaurant because of the commercials about Fish made to order, not. Mr. Brown took my order went to the kitchen and came right back out with my fish. I was at Collard Green Cafe in Tucker Sunday it was running over with guest and that fish was made to order and came out Pipping hot. I also got wings and drove less than five miles home and they were not hot. I tested my fish in the car before leaving the parking lot it was warm. If we know the fish was made to order and we order it, that means we don’t mind waiting. The cashier has no personality and she got no tip from me. Mr Brown who takes your order can be rude.

The ribs tips are great! Definitely a must, and they give you plenty on the plate. The sides are on point too. The mashed potatoes are super!

Rib tips tasted like oil didn’t have any other flavor, the seasoned rice stuff was dry, the baked chicken leg quarter didn’t have any seasoning it just tasted bland wasted money last night.

Air was too too cold

The food is always consistent. However, the prices are very high. By the time you feed a family, you could almost pay the same amount at a sit-down dinner at a decent restaurant.
