The Well Westlake

Had an amazing meal this evening! We had the coconut curry squash and it was probably the best we’ve had in recent memory. The owner came over and chatted with us and is very sweet. Highly recommend! Definitely should check this place out.

I have had several different items on The Well menu. The chicken salad sandwich was delicious, I didn’t realize gluten free bread could be so tasty. The salmon entree was excellent, the salmon was cooked to perfection and the side vegetables were fabulous. One of my favorite breakfast or brunch items is the overnight oats! And of course I love the smoothies, so flavorful and full of nutritious and healthy ingredients. The staff are knowledgeable and pleasant. I have been very satisfied and happy each time I visit. Dietary restrictions: The entire menu is both gluten and dairy free so there are so many options.

This place is amazing! It’s hard to find quality food that’s also prepared authentically at a reasonable price.

We have only ever ordered delivery from Uber and EVERY SINGLE TIME they forget something. So we stopped ordering from the Westlake location (even though we live in Westlake) and now only order from 2nd Street. On Sunday we ordered from Uber again, but accidentally from Westlake, and they forgot both orders of bone broth, and the eggs on the chilaquiles were cooked over hard instead of over easy. To add insult to injury, Uber refuses to refund us for the bone broth because we have submitted too many requests for refunds for this restaurant. Hopefully they change their minds or we will dispute the charge with the bank. Very disappointed.

We had a really delicious brunch. When I had a hiccup, management fixed it right away. The cashier/host went out of her way to be helpful and patient. The food is really nutritious and also tastes great.

I had a terrible experience at this place. I ordered a salad with steak and asked for it to be medium well cooked. When it arrived almost 30 mins later, the steak was awful. It was not cooked to an edible level and you couldn't cut it. When an employee passed by i told her and she brings me a different knife. I still put up with it but when i got to the worst piece i had it. When i told another employee, oh did i get some attitude. She offered to fix it, took my plate away. I said i don't need it anymore as i was traveling after that but she insisted she box it for me. She even agreed to return that charge which has not happened. I am a long time Austin/Westlake resident and i eat at some nice places. This is an overrated, over priced pretentious place. It was $50 for a steak salad, chai and of course a tip for ordering your own food at the counter. Do not recommend this at all.

Awesome spot for a healthy bite or drink. Staff is all super friendly too. Liked it so much, we’re thinking about doing a company event here soon.
