Went there on 1/4/24. Food was decent and waitress was great. Just checked my bank account and I was charged twice. One charge was for the total of the bill plus tip. Second charge was $84 and there is no reason why they should have charged that. I called about the charge, and they said they don’t see it on their end. They said I have to call again when a manager is there which could be today or another day this week, so I had to ask for a call back so I am not having to constantly call until I get ahold of the manager to resolve the issue. I emailed them the charge on my bank statement. Disappointed that I got brushed off and that I will have to wait this long to get this resolved even after emailing them my bank statement.
This place is absolutely gorgeous! The most low key and relaxing place for a delicious meal. The service is amazing & whiskey (the property dog) made it that much more special! Will definitely be back!
Update: The day after this experience, my credit card has multiple charges on it. As a business owner myself, this business needs to look into this bartender/“manager”. Something shady is going on. Patrons - check your charges after visiting this establishment. Horrible customer service - as a local, I have loved walking to this bar to grab an old fashioned. After the experience I had tonight, we will not be back. I ordered a $22 smoked old fashioned off the menu and was up charged an additional charge for it being “smoked”. ?? I expect a charge for an alcohol upgrade but he explained that there was a second up charge for a smoked drink…even though the one I ordered from the menu said smoked. I mentioned my concern thinking there was a mistake and the bartender told me he was the manager and he was unwilling to do anything to help - “Sorry you had the wrong expectations”. Long story short- as someone who is okay expecting to pay $25+ for a drink, I am not okay being disrespected and talked down or paying over $60 for 2 drinks. Keep walking- plenty of other great options in the Domain.
Dropped in with friends from out of town, and thrilled it was exactly what it said it would be- Awesome atmosphere, fantastic food, and our server was superb!! Another recommendation for you to stop by! Happy Eating
This place is very unique and comfortable. Limited menu of well chosen sandwiches and appetizers. We didn't drink, but the bar looked amazing. The sign outside does not say The Watering Trough, so it was hard to find until I looked at the picture of the building. Kid-friendliness: Only three tables of people when we were there but we all had kids with us. Noon on a Sunday. Wheelchair accessibility: Our son is not in a wheelchair but has mobility issues and development delays, so I am always looking for places without stairs and wide open spaces between tables. The staff were patient while he ordered his own food and spoke to him kindly, rather than talking to me for him. I appreciate that so much!
I love the interior. It’s like a wooden barn. They have a fireplace, bar, plenty of seating in and out doors. It’s connected to the hotel, so it’s easy access if you’re staying at Lone Star Court.
Food and drinks were great.
Excellent food and drinks. Great vibe. Love the live music.
