Great spot to go. Love the vibe. High ceilings and plenty of light. Food was really good. Oysters were great as well as the other options they have. Went on a Sunday evening with friends and had to wait a bit but not bad. Their bar next door had amazing drinks too where you can wait.
Local here in Ballard, and this was my first time in. Fantastic at every turn. Loved the staff as much as the food. Highly recommended.
Very good and fresh seafood, expensive
I thought the food was good and the service was great but this place is embarrassingly overpriced, especially considering the portion sizes. $5 an oyster? I mean, come on.
In Seattle. Local seafood, local veggies, & local beer at The Walrus and the Carpenter @thewalrusbar . A selection of various local oysters, bread and butter & Seattle caviar, beets, albacore crudo, grilled sardines, chocolate pot de crème. The oysters were excellent, strong recommendation.
4.5 because the French onion soup was too salty. For $21. Other stuff was good. Oysters, fried oysters, steak tartare, poached calamari. Trust the other reviews when people say the portions are small. Although, for $5 an oyster, I might go get a shucking knife and learn how to do it at home.
