The most fun you can have with your pants on. Josef is a national treasure.
An impossible to describe, psychedelic Tyrollean cellar experience. Craving a Gulasch with Spätzle we ended up in something which reminded us of an apres-ski experience in the middle of Notting Hill. Mostly big groups, loud music which was accompanied by the 85 years old owner singing, playing the keyboard, clarinet, sax or the cow bells. Everyone seemed to have such a good time. Thankfully it was not our first date (please don’t do that!) so we just enjoyed the show and the surprisingly good food. A fun, anarchic oasis of chaos in a too often clinical city - go before it’s gone.
Always a fab evening here. Hearty food, steins in hand and lovely Bavarian tunes to keep you on the go.
Loved this brilliantly bizarre experience. An eccentric but loveable old owner of the establishment plays traditional Austrian music, Sound of Music classics and weirdly World War One British folk tunes, often on Austrian cow bells, whilst you eat excellent classic Austrian dishes of hearty proprtions. It’s weird but fun and creates a great atmosphere whilst the food is unquestionably great. The owner has run this place for about 50 years and it feels like that in a quaint way.
