THE TENNESSEAN Hotel

We LOVE this hotel. It's small and cute and it smells SO good! We do a lot of cross country roadtrips, and we always make sure to stop over at the Tennessean at least one night when crossing through the state. Bellhop and vallet are really efficient and nice, check in staff is awesome as well.

What a huge disappointment. Our room had no trash can in the bathroom, no pen, no wine glasses, only 4 coat hangers, dirty/worn carpet and to top it off the Marriott built aside this hotel had guests partying out their open windows till after 2 am and screaming/ yelling! The breakfast area had no hostess, and no one inside but guests so we seated ourselves. finally two servers overworked and grossly understaffed. One server brought coffee, no water and we asked, no cream and it took over 35 minutes to get two scrambled eggs and oatmeal for $45. My driver said that he has heard a lot of complaints of late as well. Nowhere close to a 4 or 5-star hotel. The Proxmiety in Greensboro is 2X better and less $ Food & drinks: Go elsewhere for breakfast prices are high and service is poor. Noteworthy details: Lots of kids staying here for sports so very noisy.

Our stay could not have been better!! The hotel felt new and fresh (and clean). The staff could not have been more attentive or service oriented. Hannah at the front desk was helpful. The car service was a real bonus, and the young man who drove us (a UT student) was super. When we checked out were asked if there was ANYTHING about the stay that could have been better, and we couldn’t think of anything. We will be back!

The front desk people are broke and stare at you like you are.Hannah is not a champion of communication.There are much nicer hotels than the Tennessean in my opinion.And ones that are much cheaper.there was a cap to a pill bottle left in my room.Everything was thickly covered in dust.Bed had a funny smell and they're too busy being scared to have good customer service.The wood on the dresser was chipped off.I almost broke thier little roundabout on accident and gave a ton of attitude back to the vallet for his mouthy buddies up front.Dude looked at me crazy coming in because I wouldn't let him carry my bag.What's next, a wedding ring?

We got the panoramic view. The hotel room was absolutely beautiful. It was very clean. The people at the front desk were supernice. The rooms are super clean. The breakfast is wonderful, This is actually our second time staying there.Driving to our vacation, we stayed there.We had to come in on a very rainy night.They were super nice So we came back for once more on our way back home from our vacation,,if you have food Allergies they are great making sure your food is separated for your Safety ♡ Rooms: Super clean great views Safety: Safe area to stay over night Food & drinks: Great food,,awesome customer service

They refused to refund my reservation. Because I bought the ticket in advance they cannot refund. They were awful. What r they thinking. Will never go

Just what we needed. We had a long, stressful day after having to vacate an AirBnB due to security concerns. The staff at The Tennessean was so kind and welcoming - we were able to book a room right away for a great rate. Hotel room was clean, well-stocked, and the beds were comfy!!

Great location, big quiet room, fun small restaurant for a late dinner.
