The Sultan Room

Had trouble finding the place at first since its was attached to the same building as Turks Inn to the far left. Had a great time! Get pat down at security(which is great since some other places don’t have this). This is “Home and Abroad”. Event $21 on dice, coat check $5, Paloma $15+tip. Lighting has a unique touch, sound wasn’t bad. I did like they have a ice water on the side of the bar is a life saver whining and dancing for three hours straight! Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp in the venue to the top and can view the stage

We went to The Sultan Room to see the duo The Bygones in their album release event. It was a small venue, but very nice, and I am pretty sure all standing: I know that we stood. The sound was very good, though I felt the bass guitar and bass drum were a bit loud for the vocals of Josh and Allison. The audience was very receptive and respectful. We did not take advantage of the bar there, as we already eaten dinner at The Turks Inn next door. We were VERY fortunate to find a parking spot a few doors down, otherwise it might have been difficult to park. Parking: The neighborhood is crowded, so it might be difficult to find a spot. We don't know the neighborhood at all, so we have no idea what options for parking there might be.

Went for afrobeats night and was pretty great. Easy coat check, nice bartenders.

This is the best club in NYC Emily and her staff make u feel like your family

This place should be called the Double Standard Room for letting people without valid physical ID in just because they have connections with whatever band manager while shutting others out. Shame on your business and I pray for your bankruptcy.

This is one of my most favorite venues in Brooklyn. It has such a divine and mystic atmosphere…. I’m always enamored by the energy. My favorite is when they have the Home and Abroad musicians/drummers there performing with the DJs. It’s always a great vibe , never had a bad experience. They have free water in a dispenser instead of charging $5 a bottle for those who need hydration, the place can get packed but still able to move around, and the staff from the security, to the host, to the bartenders are all amazing people. I will always come here!
