I was excited to try their lobster roll which looked delicious on the reviews. I got a hot lobster roll and it looked like four small pieces of claw meat on top of a soggy lettuce strip on top of a HUGE bun. Where was the tail meat? There wasn’t any. I would pay $16 at most for that lobster roll. I wish I had taken a picture—it was that sad looking. My 6-year-old son had pan seared salmon with lemon butter sauce and it was dry in the middle. The bill with tip came to $88. It should have been $25. I’d give them another chance if they comped my meal because the waitress was so nice and there aren’t a lot of places that sell lobster in the area. The lobster itself was cooked properly. As others have mentioned, some areas inside of the restaurant are cool and others are hot. Make sure where your sitting is in the A/C zone. Also there’s no need for valet. It’s more annoying than convenient.
It's been a very long time since I've been to this restaurant. I wanted to go while visiting Florida because it was a "go to" place I went with my Mom in many years past. It may have been an off night so I'll give the kitchen the benefit of the doubt, I was dining alone. I think they forgot me because a few couples seated after me were served their dinners before me (ordering the same thing I did...the Lobster special). The waiter who was very nice also seemed agitated with the kitchen that I was still waiting. He went to the kitchen and came out with my 2lb stuffed with crab lobster....which was hot on the outside and ice cold when I put my fork in. Obviously they tried to rush it when he went in to fetch my dinner. For an $85 Lobster plus additional $12 for the stuffing, I was very disappointed. I had also ordered the Lobster Bisque soup. While all the food was tasty, I've definitely had better of each item for far less money. It was also hot, clammy and noisy in the main dining rooms in the restaurant. I will give it another try but only one more. If not a wonderful experience next time, for the money I will find someplace better. Sorry for the disappointing review. Not typical of me.
Food was delicious but the service was lacking. Very disorganized from having to wait nearly 30 past our reservation time to incorrect/incomplete orders. Too bad you just can't tip the chef! Too noisy and difficult to talk to another person across your table. Parking: Required valet parking. Guess it's free valet parking if you don't tip.
I have been coming to the Station House for years. This time, we noticed that the lobster special had gone way up in price and higher than some of the upscale restaurants. They dropped the salad and corn from the special. They made the price on the menu so small you need a magnifying glass to see. The service was good and the first lobster that came out was very over cooked. The second lobster they brought out was perfect. The crab cakes were over cooked and too much filling. In general the Station House made a decision that in my opinion questions it's value and whether to come back.
The lobster roll was delicious. It was filled with large chunks of lobster meat. It was reasonably priced. My friends had the lobster tail plate. They also thought it was excellent and priced right. We topped the meal off with a generous portion (shareable) of a fabulous bread pudding served with ice cream. Our server was excellent.
If you are craving Maine Lobsterin South Florida this is the only place to go! An established business for 30 years, and they have it down! Lots of sizes available, males / female depending if you prefer more claw meat or tail, and they completely unshell it tableside! Fabulous service and food done to perfection!
Great date night or anniversary dinner spot. The food was delicious and service was great.
