The State Room

Good selection of beers. I got a Belgian style ale. Some craft cocktails. My wife got one the Winding Road, Empress gin with a basil leaf on top. Nicely done. Very good selection of appetizers to accompany your drinks. We had the garlic and truffle fries and the “home made” dumplings, which arrived so fast we thought we got someone else’s order. Service at the bar was a bit slow, though, so sit there if time is not of the essence.

This was genuinely one of the best experiences I've had in a restaurant. My partner and I decided to try out this spot as the first restaurant we'll visit while in this country from South Africa. We were blown away by the welcoming team, pleasant atmosphere and wonderful food. Neither of us are sure anything will top the vibes quite yet. My partner almost left me for the steak because it was so exquisite. I felt the same way about the dumplings. Don't even get me started on the in house brewed beer! The State Room is definitely on our list of favourites now! Vegetarian options: This restaurant has a wide variety of vegetarian options, ranging from appetizers, small plates and entrées. I highly recommend the wood fired pizza.

Average food and slightly below average beer. For San Rafael this would be 3-stars except service was abysmal. Main bartender had her meal while working so was gone for periods. For the bartender that remained, it was too much trouble to enter the food order into the nearby computer, so he "forgot" it. When we were informed they "forgot" to enter our food order about 30 min later, there was no apology or even a sad face.

Pint night at the state room. Busy place but very welcoming. Food was top notch. Beer was great.

Great food and staff everyday, except Monday when they are closed.

Dinner was excellent. Brussels Sprouts and Firecracker Green Beans were the star of the meal. Ambiance on the heated patio was good, and the wait staff were attentive and helpful recommending food options.
