Had private group dinner. Excellent service. Roast beef was delicious. For me, chicken was too spicy to enjoy, but my friend liked it. Tri-color potatoes were yummy! Rolls were disappointing. Chocolate pecan pie was good. Wheelchair accessibility: Small parking are & uneven flooring make wheelchair transport difficult.

We chose to have our anniversary outing here and we were not disappointed. Our waitress was very attentive and the menu choices ,,,yum. Seated by the fireplace & table for 2 , perfect. Romantic atmosphere and fine dining along with a surprise desert..delicious.

We have been so lucky over the last 3 years our granddaughter has been part of The Denison University SWIM TEAM, SO MY WIFE AND I HAVE TRAVELED FROM VA To Granville on four occassions. Each time we have eaten at this wonderful Granville Inn restaurant and get this all four times over 3 years we have enjoyed the food, atmosphere and by far the best waitress anyone could ask for."***KARA***" what a wonderful person. Our granddaughter is graduating this May and KARA via our request will be our waitress. Our last visit was for our granddaughters final swim meet. The next night we had the privilege of having all four roommates for dinner at the Granville Inn, and once again Kara made the dinner a perfect experience. THANK YOU kara and looking forward to coming back. CATHY & Ed Kelly , aka, Nana & Pop.

Had an intimate birthday dinner here. They knew that this was a birthday, since they asked when I made the reservation, but never asked about providing a cake, or referenced the birthday in any way when we arrived. Why ask if it's a special occasion if you're not going to acknowledge it in any way? The service was abysmally slow. Our waitress was pleasant but was focused on the tables with a larger number of guests; that probably translated to a larger tip, which I suppose was more important to her. The food was good, but not exceptional. The atmosphere was OK, however the bar was a bit loud, which ruined the ambiance. Overall, it was nothing remarkable. Overall... greatly overrated and, considering the experience, over priced. Parking: Parking is kind of a nightmare, since there are a limited number of spots in their parking lot. We had to park a few blocks away. So... if it's a busy night/ holiday season, be prepared to walk.

The service was the slowest I have experienced in my entire life and I've had dinner in European restaurants more than 100 times. The waitress didn't take our entree order for 70 minutes. The entrees took an hour after ordering to appear. The meal took 3 hours. We had to ask several times for water to be brought to the table and several times for bread. When the bread arrived the pieces were small and we received eight pieces of bread for our table of seven. The butter was really nice though. They had one bartender working for a full restaurant. It took forever for the drinks to arrive. A bottled beer was $8. My pork loin, mashed potatoes and braised red cabbage were excellent, $35. The creme brulee was good but the portion was small. I spoke with the manager regarding my service concerns and requested that he comp our party dessert was he did without hesitation. He also comped the first round of drinks for everyone at the table. The manager indicated that they weren't able to get enough people to apply to be servers even though they are making a lot of money per night. The manager was frustrated by their inability to properly serve their customers. I'm glad he recognizes the issue. After speaking with several people I have learned that the slow service is an ongoing and significant issue. If they can't serve their customers due to staffing shortages they should simply take fewer reservations.

Came hear to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary and wife's 70th bday. Not pleased to be seated in the corner of the restaurant in front of the kitchen entrance, not very memorable. Food was good but menu changed since we made the reservation and what we came for was no longer on the menu. Server got the tables mixed up but apologized and we were fine with that. Not in any hurry to return from Chicago. Too far for non memorable event. We came because of a great experience in 1991. Not so sure we will come again. Not up to select registry standards. Disappointed.

We ate there on a Monday night and the service and atmosphere were great. My dinner of pork tenderloin had good flavor but was very dry and tough. The braised cabbage was awful and I was so surprised. I have always had a good meal there but not this time.
