The Rendez-Vous

What an amazing place this is - a true gem!! Food, staff, ambiance, this place has it all....and then some. The chef is a magician and super approachable as he walks through the restaurant making sure everybody is enjoying themselves. The mixologist is top notch and equally friendly and engaging as the chef. The waiting staff is genuine, friendly, knowledgeable and are all clearly enjoying their job. And the food....and the drinks and the place....MAGICK!!

Best place for a date night! Super cute and romantic. The staff are always warm and welcoming. Food and drinks always impress, and are locally sourced. Highlyyy recommend the jungle bird for drinks and any soup special they have. 3/1/24: compliments to the chef

Couldn’t be more charming

What a stand out. The staff could not be nicer. The food was delicious, especially the fish. So fresh and creative seasonal flavors. The bread and cultured butter crazy good. Everything we had was perfect from cocktail to dessert!!

Split the boar special for dinner, bartender/waitress was so friendly and made good recommendations, very attentive and we walked in early hoping to be seated. Great evening! Love the murals by the bar, old chandeliers, and the music - felt very french!

Great vintage atmosphere inside the restaurant although it’s not located in a good part of Oakland. Service was friendly. The cocktails were delicious and starters were fancy and yummy but in very small portions and expensive. We didn’t try entree here. For four cocktails, one tuna salad, one shrimp starter and bread and butter, we got a $160 bill. All in all we enjoyed the experience in this cafe.
