The Regional

Truly sad to see this place go. We are far from fancy, but when we wanted to play that role for a night, this is where we went. Anniversary dinner, birthdays, celebrating small wins with our business, just needing a bucket of the best fried chicken in town…this is where we went. The first time we went a few years back, we were blown away by their attention to detail, customer service, etc. Never in a million years would we have ordered the tomato pie, but the waiter insisted and told us he wouldn’t feel comfortable with us not ordering it. So we did and, to this day, it may be the best thing we’ve ever eaten. Breaks our heart knowing there isn’t another place locally that we can find that dish. Had our last meal from The Regional tonight and it was as good as ever, even in their last week of being open. We know y’all are closing later this week, so maybe this review is pointless at this time, but we wanted to post it to say thank you for being in this community the past few years, thank you for setting the standard of what a restaurant should be, and thank you for all of the incredible meals. -The Rust & Wax Crew

First time last night and it was perfection. We had a large party so we ordered a bunch of things and they were all fantastic. Don't miss out on te fried green tomato salad with burratta!! Excellent service and drinks as well.

I’m not sure where to start! Took 5 days to decide how to best describe this experience! We had a party of 5, we were coming from a sports event and therefore were not dressed to impress. Out of 5 dishes ordered. Fried chicken was tasteless and over cooked. Brussels sprouts were awful, pork dish was extremely over cooked and also had no taste. Risotto just didn’t taste right. We had 1 person at the table that enjoyed her dish, salmon. The only dish that was touched at the table was the salmon! 3 times staff brought meals to us that we did not order. Waiter did not come to check if we need anything, never got our refills, never asked how our dinner was especially since 3 out 5 meals were not touched. When finally showed up, asked if we are ready for the bill! I informed him that my meal was very disappointed, he said I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your dinner and left. When he returned with cc slip, I asked for the manager. I watched him walk to service center/office, address an older gentleman who looked like a manager based on how he was dressed. I watched him look at our table as he was being spoken to, as soon as they were finished speaking, he looked back up and walked back into the office. We patiently waited for the next 20-30 minutes, watched him walk out and go somewhere else! I was honestly in disbelieve of what was happening.l! This place looks like it should have better food and service than cafeteria quality!

We happened to stumble upon this place while waiting for the other half of our party to arrive, and Im so glad we did. Do yourself a favor and drink the Salt of the Earth, and then thank me later. This drink is by far 1 of the best drinks I've ever had in my life. Refreshing and balanced and just so delicious. I think in total, our party had at least 9 while sitting at the bar and then another 14 or 15 when we came back for dinner. The octopus with pickled veggies app was absolutely delicious, and the crispy trout entree was a huge portion, so you could definitely share it. The brussel sprouts and broccolini were super tasty sides as well. The rest of my family got the short ribs, scallops, snapper, lcb, and a few other things. Im so glad we stumbled on this gem. I'll definitely be going back before we leave. Oh, and btw, Sammie is a rockstar. Great bartender and super sweet. 10 outta 10 recommended!
