I’m super bummed. I’ve been going to Island Creek since it was just a food truck. Always bring out of town guests. Come to find out today that the menu has changed to the point of being unrecognizable. Of course the oysters are on point, but the rest of the food was not good. They don’t have any of the old favorites (clam dip? muscles?) and my kid’s hot dog was cold. It’s a beautiful view but if you’re headed down, maybe just get drinks and oysters and don’t expect much more.
First time here and i think I got over charge for one person and total cost of $103 including tip. 12 dozen of oyster, pickled mussels, glass of wine and extra bread. The food options is not a lot but the service was good. I don’t think I’m coming back.
We love Island Creek and their product, but the our experience at the indoor raw bar was less than stellar. The music was very loud and getting louder (people kept moving away from the speakers as the DJ was shouting the answers to single bingo). The seat yourself situation was confusing and we didn’t see a server for 30 min. The place is full of young families trying to enjoy a relaxed meal and drinks but it seems like they are trying to cater to more of a bar vibe with the screaming DJ and blasting music. Love the oysters and food.
Our server was very nice, but they don’t tell you there’s a 10% “admin fee” for the kitchen workers share of tip? not sure why you don’t just pay your workers more, but that’s besides the point. The view is fantastic, but the pricing for the quality of the food here is interesting... Roughly $60 for what is essentially just a subpar Alaskan Roll and 8 (sandy) oysters. Expected better from the high ratings, but it might be outdated. Probably won’t be coming back.
2nd time I’ve orders from here. It’s amazing. Feels like I’m back east when I can just open my bag and shuck an oyster. Thank you for a great product.
Terrific seafood, ordinary hotdog. Lovely, unique setting, apart from the flies and mosquitos. (Early August visit.)
Parking can be a nightmare on a busy day but it's worth it. Great spot.
