The Ravenous Taotie

Visited The Ravenous Taotie for lunch, a cozy spot with a decor of figurines and a server in cosplay, enhancing the quirky atmosphere. The place is small and fills up quickly, so arriving early helped us get a seat without a reservation. It’s a partial service restaurant where you write your order on paper and fetch your own containers for leftovers. We ordered the braised spare ribs with egg noodles and a braised beef rice combo. Both dishes arrived quickly, within 10-15 minutes, and were packed with lots of tender, flavorful meat. The portions were generous for the price, offering great value. They have various spice levels; I chose less spicy, but options are available for more heat. The food was authentic and satisfying, leaving us with plenty of leftovers. Overall, The Ravenous Taotie is a great, affordable spot for casual dining. Definitely worth a return visit to explore more dishes. Tip: Consider booking ahead for dinner, as it seems to get busy!

MASSIVE portion with good prices. Authentic Chinese noodles with generous beef added. However, make sure to book in advance at dinner hours as seats are limited.

What a great place to go to for your birthday if you love anime, waifu statues, gunpla and maid cafes in London!!! It's not a true maid cafe but one of the waitress was dressed in a cute KFC maid cosplay out fit. We went here for my friend's birthday, and we received a group picture from them as well!!! Customer service, food, and thematic otaku environment was 10 out of 10!!!
