Food was gross. Felt like the place was trying to be unique with odd food that was not good. Never in my lifetime would I come again.
I really enjoyed the Purple Pig! I never had anything like it. The 1st time i have tried bone marrow and blood sausage. They were different. Not bad but different. The servers were all amazing and the managers. The atmosphere was very calm. I would highly recommend but it is a little pricey but it’s all about the experience for me.
Love this place. Come every time I’m in Chicago.

I sat alone at the bar and had a memorable experience watching everyone work in the open kitchen. I even saw the pork chop I ordered be plated right in front of me. It was delicious- a healthy char on the outside, tender on the inside. The crunchy pastry flakes provided a nice contrast with the soft potatoes. There was no shortage of flavor in every bite with the combination of both applewood smoked meat and an apple cider sauce. I also started with the shrimp and avocado salad which may have been the most flavor-packed salad I've ever had. The service at the bar was simple and effective; not in-your-face and always there when you need it. I highly recommend The Purple Pig.
Great service and food. All the dishes were great, the drinks were serve just right and the service was wonderful. I have been to restaurants all over the world and this one is staying on the list to revisit. Be sure to try the 36 day aged pork chop and the bone marrow smear.
