So disappointed when I could not make a reservation tonight because all of Washington Heights is celebrating Valentine’s Day on February 11! Wow- get your story straight First you tell me to call back in Feb1 to see if the restaurant would still be running since you will be moving in June. Tonight your cockamamie story of early Valentine celebrants shows you are not honest . You should have told me in January , when I first inquired you could not reserve for a large party . Disingenuous , cowardly, rude and sloppy. Hey -you would rather be a pig!

Excellent food that rivals the best fancy restaurants in NY . Vegetarian options: Several

Where to start with this one... Let's start with the pros. First off the food is great and the decor is spectacular. It's a quaint and cozy place that has a very intimate feel. AND that's about it... For the cons... the service is really rough. The owner of the restaurant feels the need to come over to you and go through the ENTIRE menu in the most labored and drawn out way I've ever experienced. It's actually painful to sit through. After ordering you can hear him say snide comments to his wife (the chef) in the back about our food orders. He didn't have enough vegetables to make a vegetable pasta... and he didn't have enough coffee grounds to make a cup of coffee?? To top it all off the price is HEFTY. Think that will be the last time we go to the Pandering Pig...

The windows are always clean!

Everything is so delicious and the entire staff, including chef, are incredibly attentive and kind. Every single dish was spectacular but the butternut squash gratin and duck confit were stand out dishes. Make sure to make a reservation!
