It's a small bakery. It's not sexy but the king cakes are good. Plenty of parking. If it's 5 customers inside it will be packed out. However they are expanding. Parking: Plenty of parking

Yummy pastries. Great whipped cream inside. Delicious icing! Lots to choose from! Parking: Shopping center allows multi use ️ Kid-friendliness: Pretty shop to visit! Smells delicious. Tiny table to sit n dine, inside n out.

My family grew up in UA but moved out of state many years ago, whenever they're back in town I always make a special trip to the Goodie Shop. The donuts are a blast of nostalgia and just as good as I remember them being over 20 years ago. The maple & cream long johns are particular favorites of ours. Can't beat this Columbus staple!

Wow wow wow! Is this the only bakery around who opens super early? I am so grateful they open at 7am because they saved my life when I needed to send a birthday gift to a coworker this morning! The cupcakes were lovely and arrived quickly. I will be ordering again!

Until last weekend I had experienced nothing but the best from The Goodie Shop. I had ordered multiple birthday cakes that were amazing and stopped by for countless donuts and cinnamon sticks. I pre-ordered (over a week in advance) custom sugar cookies for a wedding shower. When I picked them up, they looked messy and amateur. Frankly, I could have done a better job myself. I took them back to the store to ask if they could be redone and the two teenagers working at the time told me no. When I asked if I could get other cookies to replace, they said yes but then proceeded to charge me for them (after I had already paid $60 for the two dozen). It was an extremely disappointing experience with a business that I normally love. Will not be going back for any custom baked goods :(

Birthday cake was really dry and didn’t have much flavor. I love the donuts here. I was really really wanting to love this cake, and I even tried it multiple times. Everyone at the party agreed, it was very dry and had no flavor. It was also really expensive for a very basic cake. I will not be getting any other birthday cakes from here. My best friend’s little boy had his birthday cake from here 1 year ago and it was also not great, but I was hoping that was an accident. It appears it was no accident. The cakes are just bad. But again, the donuts are incredible. Such a shame.

I was introduced to The Original Goodie Shop as a first year student at Ohio State in the late 1980's. When it comes to small, family owned brick and mortar bakeries in the Columbus area, they are, quite simply THE best (love Resch's too! ❤️)! Their cakes, doughnuts and pastries NEVER disappoint which explains why they are a central Ohio institution! For the last two years I've driven from Licking county to indulge and it's well worth the trip. And the holidays wouldn't be the same without their charming and yummy variety boxes that I give as gifts every year. I've NEVER been disappointed. However, I have to be honest. I find the fact that they actively encourage their patrons to add gratuity ..... tacky and honestly..... offensive. The Goodie Shop has always been expensive and rightfully so. The quality is well worth the price. But when I'm paying $2.75 for each of my two dozen cookies, I don't appreciate having to confront a gratuity screen on the kiosk while the young cashier waits for the tally. I find that sort of pressure garish and below the bar for such a reputable and classy space. I don't tip the cashier's at Weilands Market (who do much more physical work that simply putting cookies in a box), nor do my dry cleaners have a jar on the counter with a hand written "TIPS" scrawled across the front. Sales associats in a bakery shouldn't have to depend on gratuity as a wage. I can only hope that they're paid a decent hourly wage and that anything extra that may be left by a patron is merely a kind gesture, but the fact that I'm prompted to pay even more every time I use my credit card makes me wonder if that's the case. Please take the time to ponder my suggestion that you end this practice. I'm far from the only one who finds it distasteful. ❤️
