The Nines

The service was great. The Atmosphere was fabulous. Tbh I didn’t expect their food to be amazing because but the food was actually surprisingly all great. I also loved their wine selection. Would love to go back for another special occasion.

My friend and I visited this place for drinks and from the start the hostess (tall skinny caucasian woman in ballet flats) neglected us in every way. She didn’t offer us coat check, but offered it to every other person who entered. Our coats ended up stuffed in our little booth table where they visibly could see the discomfort. She sat us near the entrance separated from the dining room because we were told the dining room was full. Strangely, we witnessed walk-ins without reservations being seated. We were looking to just sit at the bar and we were told the bar was full as well. However we noticed two men given space at the bar and then moved to a table and yes they were walkins as well. This experience left us feeling unwelcomed and we won’t return again due to biased treatment.

So this place confidently practices racism and classism. The micro aggressions were pretty obvious. They told us they were completely booked for the back the entire night (which is where everyone is and where the live piano music is) but we could sit by front. Funny enough we saw people without reservations getting tables in the back. They also offered everyone coat check but us. Then I asked hostess if she was a ballerina because she was literally wearing ballet flats and she gives me a dirty look and seemed annoyed by the question. Like okay… I’ve seen people rave about this place but I wouldn’t come back here unless you’re on a date with a Sugar Daddy. Don’t listen to the TikTok’s ladies you not meeting nobody here everyone is already on a date. The venue was beautiful and the piano music was good but it’s just another pretentious spot with people who want to remind you you’re not one of “them”.

The food is delicious and the staff and atmosphere are simply amazing !
