Not even Middle Eastern it’s like going to have Mexican food at Taco Bell prices are high and food is terrible the quality of the meat was bad I kept picking all the fat and meat that I couldn’t chew out of the so called shawarma sandwich but we all give things at least one try
Absolutely stunning experience!
One of the best Palestinian restaurants in the greater Chicago area. Very kind and incredibly generous owner that love serving big portions to his customers. I drive 45 minutes to this place so we can have their amazingly prepared delicious food.
Very good food, constantly good.
Last night I tried a different dish this time at this Middle Eastern Mediterranean restaurant. I enjoyed the Baked Spinach Pie and the Shish Kabob Lamb.
Went in expecting middle eastern fine dining but it was really missing a lot. The prices would suggest a better dining experience but I've had better at a mom and pop shawarma spot. For starters the service is very rushed and dry. No friendliness. No rudeness either but would expect some type of personal touch. The server kept walking past and asking if we were done yet when we clearly had food on our plates and were deep in conversation. The food lacked flavor. It was not bad, but it was definitely a toned down version of authentic middle eastern flavors. I'm guessing this is due to the patrons they cater to maybe not being quite ready for the full dive into middle eastern spices. I will say the lentil soup was absolutely delicious. It was the best part of our meal. They only have a handful of halal options on the menu.
Overall not bad. But I desperately needed this place to be great. It’s the only middle eastern place in the area and I’m always around here. Not bad for Chicago but nothing compared to the food in the suburbs.
I like the food, but I'm very upset due to the poor customer service I've received. The hours on the website and google say open till 10. I called at 8:30 to place a pick up order and was put on hold for over 10 minutes. I hung up and called again and was told that the kitchen had closed. She said it closes at 8:45. It was then 8:44. Change your hours online to reflect the changed hours! (I also had called 2 nights ago at 9:20 and was left with the phone ringing and kept trying because I thought it was open till 10 and this led to me missing out on other food options- missing their cutoff time). Updated review in 2023: I've increased stars to 4 from 2 because after the bad experience I had a few years ago I have been back to dine-in a couple times and had good experiences. I like the food a lot and there are good portions. I never tried late or to pick up again.
