Authentic Ghanaian Food..purely African!
The food is some of the best Ghanaian food in Chicago. Their food is consistently delicious - some highlights are the Spinach and Egusi Stew with Goat and Pounded Yam, Ms. A’s Special, Jollof Rice, and Volta Lake Special with Red Snapper. The restaurant is take out only - but service is fast, took about 20 mins total for our order to be finished. The staff are so kind and welcoming. Please try this place if you’re curious about Ghanaian food, you won’t be disappointed.
My husband and I favorite Authentic African food! We visited for a family dinner date and the food was absolutely amazing! The woman taking our order was lovely and patient with us as we decided what we wanted. So much deliciousness to choose from. We chose Jollof rice with beef and spinach & egusi stew with goat meat. It was amazingggggg, we will be back!
Amazing West African food. I grew up in a Liberian household and the pepper soup here tastes just like my mother used to make. Great prices for the portions of food and very flavorful. This food is made with love
Came out hot and right on time. Soooooo fire. Flavor drenched. Make some rice at home and cut it up with coconut milk if you haven't had this kinda spice yet. Will be back. Atmosphere ain't really count. Take out only. Good handoff, clean and spread out. Helpful staff
I'm legitimately blessed to live so close and so able to get their delicious, blazingly spicy food at my leisure. I'm a vegetarian, so if you, like me, might also be tempted as I foolishly did took look over their entrees and decide there's not much for you, turn your gaze to the side dishes. Think of it as a tapas menu, and grab some waakye, banku, spinach without meet and/or fried plantains (among other options!) and have a feast you'll find yourself craving again the next day. Vegetarian options: Don't be afraid to ask. Most of the dishes are pretty clear when they have meat, because they offer you a choice. Sides are similarly labelled, but there are items you may not be familiar with that don't come with a description. Incidentally, most of those are vegetarian. IMPORTANT TO NOTE, though! They seem to cook everything on the same grill, so if that's a dealbreaker for you, avoid things like the plantains, which are cooked directly on it.
Amazing food everytime! Flavors are delicious, you’ll come back for more!
