This place has been in business since early 80’s untouched. Everything is the same even they play same music form 80s and 90s and in a way is little depressing specially downstairs. I wish they could get it back to the they way it was.

Get your dancing shoes down there on a Sunday night for an all out disco feast!!

Sad to see other poor reviews, but we honestly had a great time! The staff at the door was very kind, welcoming, and helpful even though they were super busy! Our bartender was very funny, personable, and kind. The bar upstairs is so unique, but downstairs? WOW! It’s a very fun bar. Their staff was all very kind and the queen hosting was hilarious. I will say for some people though: if you can’t follow the rules of no recording or vaping inside, don’t go. You ruin it for everyone else and you will get kicked out lol. I will say, one of the dancers was rude and asking us for more money(???), but staff listened to our complaints and sympathized with us. Definitely coming back! VIP tix were worth it to have a table and seats so we could stay as long as we wanted. Definitely know what you’re getting yourself into if you go downstairs for Spunk. Honestly probably our favorite bar on our gay bar crawl!

Me encantó!! Uno de mis bares favoritos en NY. El piano, es muy divertido como la gente canta. Abajo hay discoteca con bailarines, muy interesante la propuesta!! Me encantó el trago Margarita, muy recomendable!!!

Rude disrespectful bartender Friday night December 29th. I went there for the first time and paid the cover charge and went inside and use the bathroom came out and sat at the bar and the bartender never acknowledged me as of what drink I desire. He was too busy socializing, making other drinks. So another patron sat next to me and within seconds he waited on the patron. I politely excused myself and left and to be honest I should have ask for my 10 dollars back. Either it was as my skin color or I don’t speak of his native tongue. Either way never again. I went across the street and had a great time at Stone wall inn. I was great by the bartender soon as I walked in and waited me. For us as gay queer or whatever, we are Ot the same.
