The Modern Rose

Absolutely love this place. I come at least once a week! Such a fantastic neighborhood spot, family owned business with the most delightful staff and the food is consistently delicious. They always add new and fun drinks to their menu so I never run out of things to try. 10/10 recommend!!

I want to start by saying that I have been coming to Modern Rose since they opened their Deerfield Beach location. While the food/beverages have always been great, there has been a slow decline in service and food for a little bit. Today being absolutely abysmal. I called to place an order and couldn’t even get through so I already knew it would be a wait. So I placed an order online for pickup. Instructions were that I would receive another text when my order was ready. Online you can make most any additional or subtractions but not for everything and no where to put notes. I ordered a full order of “some like it spicy” avocado toast, my regular go-to. I wanted the cheese and red pepper flake on the side but no where to indicate that so I had to choose “no seasoning”. Not only was there no cheese or red pepper flake, but there was also no crema or anything else other than a scrape of avocado and tons of corn. Even worse, NEVER got a text that the food was ready so just showed up to get the order 45 minutes after placing online. Was told to stand and wait in two different places by two different employees then I finally just got in a massively long line for the counter. Only to get there and the order had been ready all along and sitting on the counter. Just cold bread and some corn…. No one cared. They just looked at me and said “thanks for your patience”. It’s easy, stop being greedy and only take the orders that you can handle so there is some semblance of customer service. I truly hope your new location can handle this better.

Amazing food drinks and best of all the amazing staff! Atmosphere is fun and eclectic. Will be back for sure!

Service is terrible! Slowest kitchen. Plus they don’t tell you that the food will take an hour, after you already waited a 20 minute line.

When my sister and I ordered they said 30 mins. We weren't in a hurry so found a seat outside and waited patiently for an hour. After that, we asked 3 different waitresses to see where our food was and none of the 3 ever came back. We tried to cancel our order and no one came back to say they canceled. We finally just had to leave. The line was long and we couldn't get to the counter to try to cancel for a 4th time. We will call for a refund later in the day.

If you are in the area, this coffee shop and eatery is a must. Such a cute vibe, and absolutely delicious coffee. I tried a lavender latte that was OUT OF THIS WORLD. There will be a little wait if they are busy but it is well worth it.

Cutest little coffee shop that I found in Deerfield during my stay. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and they play some great music. The girl at the counter was so friendly and was more than happy to answer any of the questions I had. Like did you know they have gluten free toast? I had the modern avocado toast and it was super fresh, I mean just look at how bright it is, and it had a perfect balance of acidity and saltiness. My dad ordered the New England breakfast and I was happy to see that the scrambled eggs came out with some chopped parsley, not just plain eggs. I thought it was nice detail that many breakfast places overlook. I was, also so happy with my oat milk cappuccino that I even went back the next day! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread is available

Nice cafe. Too cluttered with random stuff for how busy it gets. I would remove some stuff and make it easier for people to move about. When I was standing in line, literally every 2 second I have to move left or right with staff or customers needing to walk by me. It got very annoying. Decor is one thing, but this place is very cluttered. Honest feedback. The staff were nice.
