Apparently the restaurant closed early unfortunately, but some in our group had dinner in time and it was good. Yet, this is absolutely a great bar that could be used in movie sets. Gorgeous decor and truly brings a early twentieth century vibe.
Heidi and Tim the bartenders are absolutely amazing!! Atmosphere at this place is unreal. If you're in Alexandria and looking for a place to go and turn back the clocks the mid-1900s this is your spot.
Alexandra best kept secret … The bartenders are amazing and the ambience is classy yet discrete
Came here & the drinks were good but the BARTENDER.. The guy was clearly sick and didn’t hide it. He was sneezing and coughing and spitting his congested fluids in the trash, all in front of me at the bar. I could hardly enjoy my drink bc I was concerned for my health and disgusted.
Fantastic, cozy bar located in downtown Alexandria, below street level under the Hotel Bentley. They have a good drink menu, and you can order food from the hotel kitchen, off the same menu as the Bentley Room (the hotel restaurant). The atmosphere is spacious but cozy, with plenty of couches and tables. Sometimes, it can get backed up at the bar if there is only one bar tender. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility is possible, but it would have to be through the Hotel Bentley, taking an elevator down to the hotel restaurant, then navigating an adjoining corridor. Possible, but not easy or direct.
Nice bar, it has a nice atmosphere and the food is amazing!
Very classy bar without being uncomfortable. Reminds me of a 1930s movie. Fancy attire not required. The crayfish bread appetizer was fantastic. The salmon and truffle mac and cheese were good, not great, other meals in our party looked delicious but I didn't try them. Atmosphere and friendly staff made up for anything that was lacking. Parking: Went on a Monday. Parking may be more difficult on a Friday.
