30 bucks for steak tips that were flavorless, and tough. cold broccoli, and fries. It’s also an added bonus when you order an appetizer(correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t apps supposed to come out before your meal?)and the apps come out the same time with your main course. If you look up the definition of overrated it would show a pic of this place.
A bit loud, but good food and good service. My hearing aide was overwhelmed, and my belly was full.
-Pros: Our server was excellent! The food was good, prices for food and drinks weren’t crazy. -Cons: The igloo, was quiet and intimate, with a little Bluetooth speaker we could connect to. Wasn’t too cold, but I wouldn’t book again. There was moisture covering the inside of the igloo and drips of condensation occasionally dropped on all of us. The main reason for my 3 star review was because I was pretty irritated that when I reserved the igloo, I was told the $50 was to just reserve the igloo, and that once we kept our reservation it would go towards the bill. We got the bill, we did not see a credit in the bill. When I asked our server, she checked with someone, came back, apologized sincerely, and said the $50 was for the experience of the igloo and not to go towards the bill. Does it go to any of their employees? Unsure, but it would be nice to know so we know how to tip. If it’s strictly just for the rental of the igloo structure, that’s highway robbery for how many people rent those things. I would recommend the Mercantile to friends, but definitely not the igloo.
2nd time I have tried this place. The terrace has always been an attraction for me. This time we were inside due to rain. 1st table was in a far back corner. After some discussion we moved to a better location. We ordered the peach/tomato/burrata salad and the gluten free pizza and the Mac n cheese. The salad was good although peaches were not ripe. The pizza was an absolute horror. Looked like a piece of bread with a thin paint coat of cheese and bits of pepperoni. The Mac n cheese was horrible as well. We actually paid $100 (incl a nice tip for the waitress) for this mess. We went to eat a nice meal at 110 Grill down the street. The ONLY thing Mercantil has going for it is the atmosphere. Not worth it.

4 moms looking for a day/evening out at a fancy restaurant with great food and ambience. The atmosphere didn't disappoint. This locations is nice, has great ambience, easy parking, and dons a good looking crowd. Music playing was loud and set the tone. It gives a rustic feel almost with the decor. Wait staff was kind and easy going; very personable. Food was meh. 2/5. Mediocre at best. Wings were sold out. Spicy burger was very spicy and yummy. The corned beef sandwich was excellent....but all mediocre for the price. The ceasar salad was romaine and had no croutons, parm cheese, or anchovies. Very and i mean VERY basic for a whole $6.00. I felt robbed. Either way, the atmosphere was mint....so if they can just get their food right and make the food match the price, this could be the spot to go from now on.

4 people with a basic dinner and drinks cost us almost $200! Caesar salad with crispy chicken was covered in salt and was basically not edible. Very disappointed in the food. Atmosphere was that of a big sportsbar. Very disappointed.
A fun rooftop experience with acceptable food and service
A great new addition to downtown - desperately needed really. Their food is decent, though more vegetarian options would always be welcome, as there are few in main courses. The drinks though - those are great and varied enough to satisfy everyone.
