My husband and I finally had a lunch date at the restaurant today after a long time, and it was absolutely delightful. From the excellent service to the delicious food and cocktails, everything was perfect. Being in the hospitality industry ourselves, we appreciate well-crafted cocktails and the meticulously designed menu. It was truly an enchanting experience. Big thanks to Mike, the hostess, and the manager on duty (whose names I unfortunately didn't catch) for making our day so special.
I really wanted to like this, but it lacked any warmth, service or stand out dishes. All in with 3 drinks, it was > £120, which is a fair whack for Mexican, Tierra Taco's we struggled to spend that with 4 and drinking like a fish. It's hard to say what is wrong, mostly value I think, I'd have happily paid 1/2 for what we had, but no way are the Fajita's worth £70. I don't know what it is trying to be, but it needs to decide if it's a high-end Mexican and serve trophy dishes or drop it's prices and be a nicely decorated Chiquitos.
I had the lamb shank and it was so delicious, we had a beautiful section with dancers and a live drummer, overall great atmosphere. Our waiter Ben was brilliant, service was perfect, never had such a good host before
Food was good. Music and vibe was good. Above all our waiter Ben went out of his way to make our night amazing
I was surprised with a lovely birthday dinner here by my friends, the atmosphere was amazing and the food was great, but the service - omg!! Ben was an incredible host, so kind, attentive and made the whole experience 1000x more memorable! Would literally come back here just for his service!
Passan the Indian bar back was very helpful and pleasant great recommendations
Lovely atmosphere amazing food and amazing service by the lovely Manoj
I just wanna thank you for making it such a lovely day. The cocktails are so strong but so nice and it’s just such a lovely nice place.
Mexican inspired food, taking the flavours and ingredients of Mexico and adding a fine dining twist to it. If you're looking for authentic Mexican then you'll be disappointed but if you want flavour packed food then look no further. Atmosphere was a little quiet but we went at lunch time so we're one of only two tables in the huge place. Our favourite dishes were the octopus tacos and the oyster mushroom scallops. For the chef I'd recommend taking the spices out of the baja taco batter and providing some salsa instead. This would make it a really accessible childrens dish. As a Baja resident of 6 years that would also make it authentic. I'd suggest providing a small bowl of limes on the table too, again on the authentic side of things. The churros were cooked in too hot oil I believe. They were very crispy and looked great on the outside but actually seemed a little raw inside and tasted of oil too much. They would be better dusted in some light sugar on top too to remove the oily flavour. The guacamole needs a little more avocado in the ratio too, it was a little more like a thick salsa vs a guacamole. It tastes great though, so only suggesting tips from a table of Mexicans. The place looks amazing, something unique and the gold and black theme goes throughout. Thanks for a great meal!
Amazing decor, food was lovely and the staff were very attentive.
