Woman with the crop top budwieser shirt and blue jean shorts/blonde hair was very racist idk if she was drinking on shift or something but the treatment was uncalled for I litteraly didn't say a single word and got insulted for no type of reason. I shrugged my shoulders and left but I legit didn't open my mouth other than to order my drinks.
A Honky Tonk nestled in the heart of Tucson. I had never been and didn’t know what to expect. All I knew was, my favorite Country Artist Braxton Keith was coming through town on his first time playing live in Arizona and I had to be there. The food was incredible… I made a complete mess of myself devouring the cauliflower app with the dipping sauce. Our waitress was very attentive despite her working one half of the room. I will definitely come back down from Phoenix to see other shows. The meet and greet after the show was awesome. We got to talk to a bunch of the attendees while waiting in line to meet Braxton.
Excellent place to walk in and leave the world behind for a few moments. The music the feeling and flow of this place is special and unique. The beverages are cold and the people are warm and welcoming. The west is still alive in this Tucson enclave of dining, romancing, prancing and dancing. Old country, western classics, modern pop, cumbias, norteño and lots of fun night moves for all to have and enjoy… Remember you die once, you get a chance to live every day !!!
Stopped into the Maverick last night after the Tucson rodeo. We absolutely love this bar. Great weekend specials, big dance floor, live music and our bartender Briana was awesome.
Cool place. Big dance floor. Nice vibe. The band was pretty good. However, I had a bad experience with the older bartender in the back bar. At one point, I payed her $5 on a $4.50 beer and told her to keep the change. She gave me a dirty look and replied in a snarky tone, "I don't want your change. I'm not homeless." and gave me the change back. This was unnecessary, ungrateful, and rude. Not only had I tipped her $1.50 on the previous beer, but a $0.50 (11%) tip isn't bad for what amounted to an 8 second interaction. From reading other reviews, it appears I'm not the first one to experience this kind of thing at the Maverick. While the bar is cool, there are plenty of other cool bars in Tucson with better bartenders.
Had a great time definitely stopping by next time I’m in town. Parking: No parking had to park next door at the hotel and walk over.
Love this bar. Briana at the back bar is the BEST!! She never misses.
Bri the back bar was phenomenal! She made my drinks exceptionally and ensured I was happy at all times! She went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of.
