First timer. Food wasn't bad. Server Sonia was on point. Might try it again.
The food is so good, there's always a wait.
Always good consistent quality. It’s never a hit or miss , good a both locations in SA
Have been wanting to try this place for a few visits but hasn’t had the chance…wasn’t sure if I should/would go this morning so I left it to chance…if I woke up by 6am with no alarm, I was going…the result was obvious and boy was I in for a treat! Lots of German affiliation in the area and that culture was woven in this place too…coffee was dark and delicious…they are famous for their hash and their apple pancake, aka Apfel pfannkuchen…so of course I had to get both…the server, Aubrey(?), did an amazing job explaining everything and making me feel extremely welcome…I told her if she ever moved to the Rocket City and wanted a job in the restaurant industry, she had one waiting for her…grits, delicious…biscuit and gravy…delicious (gravy was sweeter than I prefer but still delicious)…hash, AMAZING (perfect sunny side up eggs)…apple pancake, the most AMAZING! Homemade hot syrup was brought out with butter but I couldn’t imagine needing more of either on the apple pancake…food was great, service was better, 10 out of 10 in my book! The host (maybe manager) asked me why I thought my server was so great and I felt she genuinely listened to my answer…Will definitely be back!
Super cute restaurant with an old timey feel. The staff is friendly and very attentive, even though they were busy. The pancakes are massive and delicious! If you like really sweet things, the banana foster pancake is right up your alley. The blueberry pancake was perfectly balanced. I’d recommend doing the check in online so you don’t have to wait by the time you get to the restaurant. If you do end up having to wait, they have a really cute outdoor area in the back to sit and relax.
