I didn’t eat any food. But, the atmosphere was wonderful. It’s karaoke night and they are jammin. The bartender Timmy was great .
Good drink, good service, and as much as I hate karaoke, the bartender can sing!
I finally made it to the Low Down and it didn't disappoint! We shared the rolled chicken tacos and the rolled potato tacos. Both were delicious, crispy, fresh, and served hot. Then we ordered the fries and for being fries they were so good as well! I had a PBR which is on tap and my friend had the house margarita...she had two because it tasted so good. The Low Down crew was nice, attentive, and quick to serve. The restroom was tiny and very clean. The tables were clean and ready when we arrived. There was a DJ set up so it looks like a later visit is in my future to see what that is all about. Back to the food...nice work and what we had makes us want to come back to try more!
Amazing new concept! Was formerly the Drunken Chicken, but they decided to rebrand while still keeping some signature food and drink items from the original concept (like their chicken and waffle which is STILL the best in town). I love sitting at the bar and picking the bartender’s brain on what cocktail to try next. The Low Down Sour and their pretzel have been my go to’s after work. The bartenders know their stuff and you can tell they truly enjoy their craft. The food and cocktail menu is elevated, yet the vibe is super chill and cozy. The Low Down can be a great date night spot, or a place to just relax and enjoy a nice cocktail after work.
A shadow of it's former self, the best parts of the Drunken Chicken menu are replaced with a forgettable American grubfare and a concept that is even moreso. The chicken strips are the best remaining piece of the old menu and they have gone up in price and down in quality. Sadly probably my last visit to an old regular.
Nothing that kept people coming back remains at this place. No spicy cheese curds, no curly fries, none of the chicken entrees. Even the wait staff laments about how far this place has fallen. Whoever owns this place and made the decision to scrap the Drunken Chicken, you are a complete moron and I hope you go bankrupt
I was sad to learn the owners wanted to rebrand. I loved the drunken chicken. I got the chicken strips for nostalgic reasons and they were much worse than drunken chicken. Idk how this is possible but they were slightly burnt, and dry. Not the type of chicken that would have ever been served under the previous branding.
