THE LOT La Jolla

Love this place! Not only is it a luxury theater that you can have a complete dinner or just concessions, but there is a full service restaurant. Had a couple of drinks before heading to watch our movie. Took my drink with me as well. The theater servers were great.

The LOT is the only theater I'll go to. Phenomenal food and drinks and the best seats you'll find

The drinks were good but per movie theater standards everything is pricy. The tickets were $20 each. We had two drinks total and it was $36 before tip. We came durring advertised happy hour but aparently it's only AT the bar, so that was a bummer. Didn't eat anything since half the budget got taken up by drinks so no idea if the $20+ food items are any good. My suggestion is to pre game and plan on $30/ per person with tip for each meal.

Their food is mediocre and a handful of the recliners are either dirty, broken, or both. It's still a decent spot for an easy outing with food and a movie. But it's not 5 stars.

I haven't visited for a few years, and the place shows signs of aging and neglect, and the staff is so so. This place used to be well run and spotless. Service was always great. I went to the movies a few days ago, my seat was not reclining, and every toilet was overflowing. Last night, I went to a salsa dance event and bought tickets to the movies for my daughter as well. I was refused a glass of water at the bar and was told I needed to buy a bottle. Be classy and kind and serve water to thirsty dancers. Many establishments place self-serve water coolers or jugs for events.
