Visiting from Ireland for St Patrick’s Day and ended up here , the best Irish bar in NYC , it’s so like home friendly staff , customers and music . …. There was even dancing .. for the true Irish feeling head here
Great spot off of Times Square. Good for tourists AND New Yorkers
Lively Irish pub with surprisingly decent food (grilled cheese, wings, burger were all pretty fine for a midtown pub!). It was packed on a Thurs from 5-9pm and very loud (standard NY), but friendly vibe. Table service was also pretty fast and friendly!
Great place to grab a bite before a show.
Update 2/10/24: I go to shows in NYC about once a year. On my last 3 trips with different people, I always took them to The Long Room. Not once did it disappoint! It's become my go to spot all because it was across from my hotel. I love when random stuff like that happens! The Long Room was an unassuming pub which was exactly what I was looking for. I was in NYC for work and The Long Room was right across from my hotel. I was there around 6:00 P.M., I grabbed a seat at the bar and was greeted immediately by the bartender. They had a decent whiskey selection (including my favorite, Redbreast) and the basics on tap. I ordered just a classic burger, medium, and it was cooked perfectly (I know I have a perfectly cooked burger when I take a bite and a little grease dribbles down my arm!). The fries that came with it were just as good and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The bartender was great - friendly and attentive without being intrusive. With Times Square a half a block away, I found The Long Room to be that perfect escape from noise and the crowds.
Very cozy atmosphere and tables nicely spaced out. The food was fantastic, the Steakhouse Sprouts are the best brussel sprouts I’ve ever tasted.
