The Local Restaurant

I came here with a friend today for lunch. I had the pastrami sandwich which was excellent. And what's nice is they offer you a salad instead of the usual fries for a side. I took the salad and the lettuce was very fresh.

We went here to celebrate our son’s birthday because they had vegan food plus served meat and wine, our three criteria. Each one of us loved our meals. Excellent flavor, nice presentation. Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free options

Very nice restaurant with a nice menu. Meal was good. I’d be worthy of a 5 star review but service staff are not very welcoming and it was not very busy when I dined in. Prices are certainly on the aggressive side for the portion size and no sides. I had the split pea soup it was good. Had the breaded chicken dinner and it certainly was good but offered no sides and for almost 30 dollars seemed unreasonable. Had to pay 6 dollars for a side of fries. Overall I’d give it another try but wouldn’t be my first choice. Pricey for what you get. Hence the 4 star rating.

I tried out this place on a whim through DD because trying new places is fun, right?? bad idea this time. As a chef for 2 decades I can promise you the bacon we received was basic, regular cut bacon DEFINITELY NOT "thick cut" so $7 really for a $3 product at best. Not only that, they packaged it in this small box that crumbled the bacon to pieces. The potato hash was severely undercooked where several potatoes were still almost raw. the egg was overcooked nearly over-hard. there was no salt in anything. whatever the meat was in the hash was dry and overcooked and clearly a few days old that has been reheated over and over again. it just boggles the mind how things could be raw and overcooked on the same plate. like $20?????!!!! this was arguably someone's first day cooking after a semester of culinary school. I can't believe they want to ask the money they do for this place. I'm going to copy and paste this to Google because DD likes to hide "unfavorable reviews" but this place is really garbage. the jam on the French toast was good just not enough and no syrup put in the bag. $50 for this meal and I am so pissed off that I have to pay that price. I've never been in the place so I can't attest to the service or atmosphere but the food, bleh.

Excellent FRESH food. Good pizza, fish was outstanding.
