My husband and I travel a lot, and Atlanta was on of our one month drop ins before heading to Orlando. I dug through reddit searching for the best wings in Atlanta, and may people mentioned The Local. Deciding to give it a try, we visited on a Friday night during a random cold chill sweeping across Atlanta. When we arrived, we were happy to find a parking spot in the almost full back lot. The security guard, Thomas, was very pleasant. He saw our licenses and asked if we had been there before, which we had not. He explained how to order, and to nab a seat as soon as one was available. We went in, and to be honest, were a bit overwhelmed. It seemed like a busy Friday night, so we decided to head out and try our luck on a week day. Thomas noticed us leaving and stopped to explain that this was not busy AT ALL, and often lines wrap to outside the building. He encouraged us, explaining this was the best time to go, so we opted to stay. Unsurprisingly, the staff was super friendly, so were the customers. We ordered fried okra, cheese fries, Jamaican jerk wings and Korean wings. Everything was done quite well. the okra was perfectly friend and the wings were super moist and delicious. We're super glad we were able to go, and special shout out to Thomas!
Finally got to try the infamous delicious wings, and delicious they were. Korean lemon pepper was a good twist on lemon pepper wet. The boiled peanuts were very good, a bit salty. Loved the fried hotdog with French fries basket. Will definitely be back for wings. They were a little pricey at 10 for $16.
