Wonderful vibes Dietary restrictions: Great choices
Love love love The Liquor Store. Anytime we go early in the day, we always end up getting our fave - the mimosa setup and two biscuit breakfast sandwiches with chicken and over easy eggs, though pretty much everything we've tried has been delicious. But honestly, it's the service that keeps us coming back... Every. Damn. Week. (Sometimes twice a week.) Brent, our favorite, and one of the best bartenders in Memphis, noticed this. Now when we walk in he's just like, "the usual?" and boom, there it is. And when the bar is full, Carol (sp?) and Anabelle are fantastic, conversational, and attentive as well. Specifically the location on Broad Ave. is one of our absolute favorite places in town. Over the years I've moved a ton and there's always one or two places where after you move away... you crave desperately. This will be that place! Definitely make the trip out. Even though they don't have reservations, it'll be worth the wait.
Stopped in this morning at the Broad Avenue location. Mainly because it was the only place open this morning. So glad that I did, the excellent bartender Brent was back working. So glad to see him back. He is not been there the past 2 to 3 times that we have been. And was seriously thinking about not going back. Because of our last two or three experiences. His replacements always seemed like we were an inconvenience to him for us being there. Service was lacking, and the food was not even the way that I had asked for it to be prepared. The people that they had taken his place were not very good at all. Slow service and bad attitude. Brett always treats us like we’re the only ones in the restaurant. I belong to several food groups on social media and his professionalism/attitude/service has always been one of the reasons that I recommend this restaurant.
Such a cute spot, very happy with my (giant!) breakfast tacos and the service was very friendly! If I'm ever back in Memphis, I will be back!
Great service, good food, much better than last time. Chandler is an awesome bartender.
Food is mediocre at best, and they are not inclusive of the alcohol-free community
Tried to go there during their holiday pop up. Apparently they close between 3 and 4pm although this is not mentioned on their website or any social media. It was about 2:10 when we showed up, and we were told the kitchen stops taking orders at 2:30. Surely, we could order food in 20 minutes! Then the hostess told us that there were no tables even though we both looked straight at an open table nearby. She told us to come back at 4pm. No thanks. If they can't post their correct hours online, I have no desire to try again.
