Atmosphere: The entrance was very inviting although a bit outdated. The hostess station is in a cute “library” setting, however, where I was seated was just an open area with some pretty, large art on the walls (commissioned paintings). The first thing I noticed was that the wall at my table was dirty and had old splash marks and needed to be cleaned. A security camera that faces into the dining room had some dusty webs along the cord. The waitress was very nice. Food: I have to say that I was disappointed with my dinner. A bread loaf with oil and what I think was pesto was served first. The bread was pleasantly warm but I didn’t care for the thick pesto sitting at the bottom of the oil. I had French onion soup which had a great flavor and was the best part of the meal. My entree was the stuffed shrimp which I regret. The menu claimed it contained both bacon and jalapeño but neither was on the dish. The shrimp was on a scalding hot plate and had a green paste on it then covered in cheese and placed under a broiler till it was 100000 degrees. There was so much cheese I had to peel it off to try to find the shrimp, then the green paste ( I think that was the herb blend) just came right off. No bacon, no jalapeño. Worst part was they also added a small bunch of greenery right in the middle of the plate which had immediately wilted and partially cooked due to how scalding the plate was. Needless to say, I would never order that again. I chose a baked potato (which was delicious) and tri-colored cauliflower that was oddly satisfying. I opted to skip dessert. Service: The waitress was amazing and very attentive. Overall, it was ok with the exception of the shrimp entree. I also thought it was a bit overpriced for what you get. Had the meal been amazing I may have been more comfortable paying what I did.

A few stray books in the foyer do not qualify this place to be called “the library.” The food was exceptionally good. The service was friendly, but discombobulated. Our cocktails and bread came out right on the spot! We ordered second drinks, which didn’t arrive until we were ⅔ through the meal. After the waiter brought the dessert menu, it took him so long to return that it was way past our time limit. Then! We literally waited 15 minutes more to get the bill which contained an error! First things first, train the staff. Then get rid of Napoleon and put the library in place.

Calamari is strange, par for the course I guess. The atmosphere is not much library feel. Service was faster and friendly once they knew we had a flight to catch. Just not a very good restaurant, live in northern Indiana and eat quite a bit in Chicago, for the price, we expected more but was sorely disappointed in the taste, quality, and atmosphere. Worth going to other places in Indy, this one didn't do the trick for me and my teens. Seafood greasy and not good, prime rib decent, and baby back ribs meatless. Excited for the stuffed shrimp but disappointed. Clam chowder delicious though.

Nice quiet relaxing dining experience. No obnoxiously loud music or over-the-top decor, just great food, friendly service, casual conversations and enjoyable dining. Pretty much what you'd probably expect a library-themed restaurant should be.
