The Koffee Pot

There are few places in manchester that do good tacos. These tacos were delicious. We had between us the nachos, pork and chrizo tacos and beef. I was so full after. Plenty of filling. We sat next to the kitchen so servers were too much (asked few times what we wanted by varying servers). This didn't really cause a problem but did make us feel a little rushed. They were v friendly though. Atmosphere was busy (was Tuesday evening), bit it's a relaxed, easy going atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The tacos it’s self was devine! So much meat and great flavours. I do wish it would come with a bigger lime wedge and more onions. The chicharron was very disappointing, for the price you pay you’d think it would come more than one. It wasn’t very crispy, lacked flavour and quite hairy. Came for the happy hour and ordered the margarita. That itself was terrible, it was very underwhelming, with no strong fresh flavours. My fiance ordered the Birria Ramen, and that was overly salty. As the kitchen is using ‘Shin Ramen’ Noodle Pots which already has seasoning in it, combined with the consomé, creates a overly unbearable, salty flavour.

The Koffee Pot, as the website says, is a Manchester institution. I really want it to succeed and be around for many years to come. The first time I came was perhaps 10 years ago. I loved everything about it, the history, the vibe and the food. For breakfast, I wonder if it's time to change the food, both the menu and, well, to be honest the quality. I'm saying this as a friend who wants this place to do well

Great service even though the place was completely packed. And it was obvious why it was so busy. The breakfast was awesome, had the Scottish breakfast with potato cake, haggis, etc. Definitely recommended.

Honestly the beef Burria tacos were AMAZING!! 10/10 Just the tacos tho. The service was a lil rushed, the ramen was unbelievably salty, to the point where I think there was undissolved salt in the broth as it was somehow a lil Gritty…. Would I come again? Defo for the beef birria tacos but honestly not for the ramen or the margaritas… overall 3.5/5
