The Kitchen

Came to listen to music and have cocktails. Had some food too! Delicious. Met one of the owners and gushed about the amazing collection of original Highwaymen Florida paintings. Can't wait to bring my family here!

1. ATMOSPHERE: This was our second attempt to eat here; the first time they called to cancel our reservation due to a plumbing problem (water leak?). This time, now our second attempt, we were finally able to dine here. However, it was HORRIBLE! Six of us were seated in the lanai; it was FREEZING at 10:30 am on one of the coldest Sundays. A most uncomfortable experience! Hey guys crank up your heat early in the morning before patrons arrive. Again, it was freezing at 10:30 when we arrived and throughout our meal. 2. SERVICE: After my muffin tasted strange, I asked for toast instead; I was almost done eating my omelet when it finally arrived. The waitress had been serving the bar and the tables. Not enough staff or a waitress with too many responsibilities. All this while the owner/manager sat at the bar and watched. Then their coffee machine BREAKS DOWN -- NO COFFEE! The owner's wife had to bring their coffee machine from home. UNPROFESSIONAL. 3. FOOD: My muffin (and the replacement toast) had a strange CHEMICAL taste; it may have been grilled where Pam or the like had been used. My omelet arrived lukewarm at best and the omelet presentation was SLOPPY. I could've made a better looking (and tastier) omelet at home. 4. PARKING: We had to park at the library which is several blocks from the restaurant. There was a street fair on the same block as the restaurant BLOCKING any parking. That's one way to kill the restaurant business downtown. Thanks Safety Harbor. Overall it was a HORRIBLE experience. We will NEVER return. Parking: Parking in Safety Harbor is atrocious.

I have eaten at the Kitchen for both brunch and dinner on several occasions. The service was always excellent, the food was very well spiced and well presented. The owners have both stopped at our table to make sure we were happy and thanked us for dining there. My favorite dinner was the red drum (redfish) with Brussels sprouts and orzo! I still rave to people about it. I consider the Kitchen one of the best, if not the best restaurants to dine in Pinellas County!

Every time I come to the kitchen I get amazing food and service. Love the steak and eggs. The kitchen is my weekly brunch spot! Thanks Rob and Mary!

The kitchen has been our favorite restaurant for a long time. It has only got better with the new management! The food is always incredible, with so many options. Service is always phenomenal, ask for Rebecca!! Kudo to the whole staff on making this our go to for a great date night! Keep up the amazing work!!!!

Drove 60 minutes to enjoy my birthday with my family We called to let them know we would be a few minutes late for our 7pm reservations..not a problem. The “part owner” sat us…7:15 Our waitress Mindi(not sure how she spells it) came to our table within a reasonable time… Took our order for beverages, appetizer (beet salad and grilled cauliflower…at the time we gave this order we were asked if we knew what we wanted and we told her the entrees… 2 Salmon 1 Filet 5oz med well… By 7:30- 7:40 we had appetizer and salad to the able… Our waitress came to the table approximately 20 minutes later stating they are behind in the kitchen and apologized…okay no problem Waitress came back 8:20 or so stated again we are backed up…be few minutes they are working on it… By 8:30 spoke to “ partial owner” ..another gentleman came too our table asking what was wrong explained situation Now it is 8:45 when the “partial owner “ came too say they got “bogged down” 4 tickets ahead of us… Now we got up and left… No comps offered by the staff… We got up and left!!! The “ partial owner” argued saying it wasn’t that long as we left the establishment!!! Not ready to return there..very disappointing

My husband and I went for lunch today and thoroughly enjoyed it! We’ll definitely be back!

Great reason to come to safety harbor. Breakfast was spot on. Crispy potatoes and bacon. Bloody marys and black coffee! Proper eggs for protien.

Went the first night because of a recommendation. Returned the next night because it was amazing. Food, staff, atmosphere -all 5 stars. Vegetarian options: Best Brussels Sprouts ever. Ask them to hold the bacon.
