The IZAKA-YA by KATSU-YA Manhattan Beach

Everyone at the table agreed this was some of the best sushi we had ever had! In addition to the excellent food, the service was outstanding. Even though the restaurant was very busy, some of our starters came out so fast, which was satisfying because we were all very hungry! I really appreciated that the waiter helped us pick our dishes and decide how much to order for the table. The experience from start to finish was five stars, thank you for having us!

Great food, great vibes! Vegetarian options: 3 veggie sushi rolls

Best sushi in town! Only thing is that they are always busy and wait is long, maybe around 3pm is when you can grab a few seats at the bar. Sushi is absolutely delicious, fresh and great quality. Variety of rolls and other dishes. Staff is courteous and kind. Located in MAnhattan Beach downtown. Great Japanese restaurant!

We have been going here for over 10 years and it is the best sushi in town I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Awesome as usual.

The offerings were not unique but quality was good! Came during lunch, tried their platter which includes sampling size of some of their creations. All dishes the flavor profile’s on point, sushi rice is well seasoned, separated and still slightly warm, loved the sushi roll! I didn’t personally try it but was shared that the shrimp tempura’s freshly fried, outside’s golden crispy. Btw, you can order just a single one if a whole tempura dish is too much! Love that they offer this option. Not to mention, our waiter was great, polite, attentive, yet gave guests their space.

Sushi, sashimi, and wagyu sliders were good.

Awesome as usual. We eat here as a family at least once a week. It is dreamy.

A great sushi spot in downtown Manhattan Beach. Close to the water and shops. Great selection of sushi and related dishes with a lunch special. Usually pretty busy whenever I go but worth waiting a bit.
