Foods always on point. Little bit of a wait on food. But wasn't a big deal.

The Island Spot NEVER fails to SATISFY! Treated my daughter for her birthday last week. Both dishes were EXCELLENT! I had the Snapper with cabbage and a watermelon mango margarita. My daughter had the oxtails with peas and rice & a rum punch. The customer service, atmosphere and food is 5 ***** across the board..

Waited over an hour for a to go order, never was offered even a water, left for 30 mins, CAME BACK and the food was finally ready…unfortunately it wasn’t worth a 2 hour wait…not even a 5 minute wait. The rice was gritty, the cabbage was dry and the oxtails weren’t seasoned. If I could give zero stars I WOULD. I WILL NEVER RETURN!

This is my favorite spot for Jamaican food! Friday or Saturday you will find me at the Island Spot! The food is delicious, service is great, and the island decor tops off the experience!

Great place for Jerk Food. I had the oxtail and they were delicious! Great vibe! Great service! I will definitely be back!

This is not real jamaican food. The food isn't seasoned and the rice and peas were old along with being bland. The service is very slow and the waitresses do not seem to care about the customers or the food. Do yourself a favor and cook at home or find somewhere else to go but DO NOT waste your money here.

GET MORE PEOPLE!!!! She can only run the bar so quick on her own!!! It took about 20-25 minutes for a drink. We ordered appetizers…. I WISH the Island Sampler was suggested…. Same price as beef pies & coconut shrimp!!!! Once we got drinks n food we were happy. Get at least 1 more staff!!!!

I usually eat at the restaurant and each time I have had a wonderful experience. This is my first time ordering my food to go from the Dallas location on Jefferson Blvd and might I add during the lunch special and I must say I am in disbelief. This food is not good. My rice tastes spoiled and the chicken tastes like it was cooked a week ago and they just reheated it and served it today. It does not taste fresh at all and I am very disappointed in the quality of the food considering the fact that I have visited locations in both Carrollton and Dallas. Please be mindful of what you are serving customers it’s not fair to pay for food that on the brink of expiration.
