We came in on a Sunday afternoon and the vibe was very calm and dim. Slow African rap and r&b was playing, and someone came to seat us right away. My wife got the Egusi. It came with fufu and we got to choose which meat we wanted (we chose goat.) The goat was cooked to perfection. The seasoning was flavored in a unique way that my wife loved but I didn't care for. This is the reason that the food isn't rated 5 stars. From the other guests I saw I assume that the flavors are authentic as several people happily ate various specialties. If you like Nigerian flavors or just want to try something new, I recommend this place.
food too pricey. look at $25 food
I bought this fufu from them it smells like it been there for 2 week and taste nasty, I'm leaving 1h away from the restaurant that's why I didn't come back so they could give me my money, it's very disrespectful
Good food, loved the spicy heat with the fish I ordered and I will be back
Flew in from out of town… service was 5-Star! Food was On Point! And portions were PERFECT! Not too big & definitely not small servings.
Excellent food and service. Came in two days in a row, had the fried fish and plantain the first day, today, tried the okro soup with Amala… wow! Delicious! Flew in from N. California with my spouse and he also enjoyed his food! 5-Stars all the way!
The food is good, but I feel it's over priced. There are other options nearby with food that's just ad good, but they give you larger servings. I paid $25 for jollof rice with beef, and they gave me 3 (beef stew-sized) pieces of meat with my meal. The restaurant is clean and spacious, but the customsr service is lacking. My server wasn't rude, but she had a nonchalant demeanor. It was off-putting. I almost took at as a sign to try a different restaurant. They had also scratched out all of the prices on their menu--which I thought was weird. They have tons of interesting dishes on their menu, and I'd love to go back to try them. Hopefully, this was a one-off experience.
I wouldn't recommend the egusi soup. It's way too overpriced for what you get. There were fish bones in the soup, and it was practically tasteless except for the bitterness. The pounded yam was gluey. Overall a bad dish. 2 orders of egusi w/pounded yam & assorted meats was$53. Neither my brother or I finished it, I actually threw mine away. This was 1st time trying them since Southern Suya moved to Atl, but I'll be traveling to Atl when I want authentic African food. This wasn't it.
This place is the best restaurant in the state of Georgia. Chidima took our order n served us. She is very friendly n professional. This place is new and warm. Will definitely be back again. Dietary restrictions: So much options prepared with love.
