The Historic El Rey Theater

I attend a lot of live music events. Because of this I religiously check individual venue websites for bag policies/ prohibited items. It is increasingly common that venues require clear bags. However, the el ray theater did not have such a policy listed. I reviewed the bag policy/prohibited items list on the venues website and checked social media. When I arrived at the door I was turned away because my incredibly small bag was not clear. When I asked security about the policy I was told “we’ve been trying to roll this out since the beginning of January, it takes time to update websites” no it doesn’t. It is incredibly easy to update a website or make a post on social media. This is incredibly unprofessional. Do better.
