The Hawthorn

Well it finally caught up with them I guess being rude to your customers isn't good for business as the Hawthorne is now closed. They never opened the back garden in the two years it was open. I don't get how you fail with such a great location right under the highline could've been a great tavern for locals while showcasing Chelsea charm for tourists. Instead it was a cold unwelcoming place literally remeber going in their last December for a hot toddy and they had all the doors open letting the winter draft in. I shouldn't have to keep my coat on at the ba. It just never seemed like they wanted people there. I wish we could bring back The Half King

Had some drinks and appetizers. All good.

Cool spot! Went on a Sunday and we sat at the bar. The bartender was cool and the music was a lil bit of old school and current music. Drinks and appetizers were good! Would def go back again.

Great vibe, delicious food, friendly staff, excellent beer selection. I will definitely be back!

After my group was seated we waited for our server but had to get one. Food was good but got cold very quickly. The place was also cold inside. The place was also very loud, I would go again solo or in after work crowd but probably not for a date.

We called in here whilst waiting for our New Year boat trip nearby. We were the only people in there for a while before a few other people arrived. Had a couple of drinks and the waiter and service were excellent.

cool spot. Highly recommend the fish and chips.
