The Haven

Well, I NEVER post reviews, but I feel compelled to write something about our visit to the Haven tonight. Simply put, this place is awesome, from the owner Jason, to the ambience, to the fantastic food (burger, curry and salmon were top class). Will def’ be back, even if it is just to hang at the bar and have a beer. Well done Jason, you have a gem of a spot..

Dinner is excellent, breakfast is terrible. Bacon burnt to a crisp undercooked eggs, cold black pudding. If it was brunch alone it'd be 1 star, but the dinner is the opposite - fish and chips is excellent, along with the other offers. Dessert is great too.

Cannot comment on food Service was friendly. Drinks just ok. Last call was at 10:37pm and on NFL Sunday (advertised on their website), they really wanted us to leave before the game was over.

Great location in JP. Scottish theme, with all the attending brews and whiskeys. Parking: Lots of parking next to a repurposed brewery, that houses arts organizations and the Haven.

Excellent fish and chips with interesting side of peas. Freezing inside to where it made the meal unpleasant.
