Ok so I’m splitting this up into a few sections: the food, the service and the atmosphere. The food: I may have ordered the wrong thing, but the cauliflower was deep fried and breaded- and had a VERY SWEET sauce on it. I should have sent it back, but didn’t. The Brussels sprouts were also VERY sweet. Not everything needs to be drowned in sugar. The burger was decent, although not memorable over any other burger joint. Service: The waiters were all lovely, really kept on top of things like making sure water was refilled, and making recommendations. High level of care placed here, I’m only giving 4 stars because I ordered a drink and it didn’t come out. The atmosphere: Classic low lit bistro styled restaurant, nothing out of the box, but a comfortable and somewhat upscale space to dine in. I thought it was interesting certain doors are labeled “Biergarten” and there was an indoor room by the bathrooms which looked a bit low end - customers sitting inside felt out of place though. Good place to celebrate a birthday- and I did appreciate that they comped the dessert! Over all a good spot- but might order differently next time
Expresso Martini, Oyster Rockefeller! Kobe Meatballs!! Highly recommend!!!!
Great upscale tavern. Quality food, good service. Solid choice.
I don’t understand why this place has 4.5 stars. They charge $30 for 2oz of salmon that came with vegetables that had been frozen. You can absolutely taste when food is frozen and I expected fresh from a place with high prices. You never want a waiter to have to tell you that you should order more because the portion is too small on an expensive dish! Also the “country ham” in the omelet is more like cold cuts from a grocery store and not the real thing, fyi. The eggs Benedict was delicious and French toast was just average. Children are allowed at the bar, even though there is dine-in seating. Dietary restrictions: There were no gluten free options
Nice local gem. The drinks were great. Just there for appetizers and cocktails with friends. Nestled right near the train station and a cute local neighbor.
