It made my friend who didn't like hummus love it, got me and someone else go down nostalgia alley about Middle Eastern food, and was the best freaking meal I've had in Toronto
food is actually so yummy it’s crazy and service is awesome too❤️❤️❤️
The menu seemed to be brunch options eventhough I was ordering around 1pm. I don’t eat eggs so I didn’t have many options to choose from. My meal wasn’t that good it was kind of dry. And they seem to be incorporating many cultures in their space without crediting. Like the Ethiopian coffee cups they use to serve coffee. Servers weren’t that friendly either. The hummus was good though. And so is the interior.
Had a really lovely server here :) The Turkish coffee was wonderful, honestly rivals what I've had in Turkey. The salad was beautiful and delicious-- the charred cabbage was also beautiful, and there were great bites of it-- but I found there wasn't enough sauce/ garnish/ char to make each bite flavorful, and there was less happening flavor-wise once we got to the center.
I love it here!! A beautiful spot run by both Israeli and Palestinian folks - together they have created such a special place with incredible food made from recipes that have been passed down from their elders. They have the ability to transport you to their favourite childhood memories thru food. That vision paired with a really cool, chill atmosphere in a cozy space great for people watching - cannot recommend enough!!
